Transnet National Ports Authority – Purchase of the Ingwenya

In November 2018 Metcor Group purchased the Ingwenya Dredging vessel. The Ingwenya is a Dredger built in 1981 by IHC Dredgers -Netherlands. The vessel was originally purchased for ongoing dredging in the Durban port and immediately outside the entrance to counter the littoral drift that would otherwise recreate the infamous Bar across the entrance channel.
